Dr. Molly Scott-Anthony, PsyD

Dr. Molly Scott-Anthony, or “Dr. Molly” as she is more commonly called, is a licensed psychologist whose work specializes in children and their families. She is a graduate of the University of Pittsburgh, where she earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Applied Developmental Psychology. She attended Duquesne University where she earned her Master of Science in Education in Child Psychology and Doctorate in Psychology. Her clinical training experiences, school psychology knowledge, and forensic work experience allow her to provide comprehensive psychological services while working collaboratively with parents, school staff, attorneys, or collateral sources.

Dr. Molly has a special interest in and experience working with children and families involved in the court system. She is a court-appointed psychologist in Allegheny County for the Fifth Judicial District, Family Division, where she provides evaluations for juvenile delinquency cases, including evaluations for Competency to Stand Trial. This is a longstanding area of interest for which she completed her doctoral training project. Additionally, Dr. Molly completes both certification and decertification evaluations as well as relevant diagnostic testing evaluations for forensic settings. Dr. Molly has been qualified as an expert witness and testifies in the areas of child and adolescent psychology. Similarly, she is the court-appointed custody mediator in Clarion County. Dr. Molly is originally from a rural community and enjoys providing services or collaborating with professionals who work in these areas to support this underserved population better.  

 

Dr. Molly also holds a certification in school psychology in Pennsylvania. She can complete independent educational evaluations (IEEs), as well as evaluations for gifted programming.  She is trained in the administration of the ADOS-2 and has extensive experience working with individuals on the autism spectrum as well as a variety of emotional and behavioral needs. She has served as an adjunct professor at several local universities on coursework related to assessment as well as autism. She provides Parent-Child Interaction Therapy (PCIT), an evidence-based therapy for young children between 2.5 and 7 exhibiting behavioral and emotional challenges.
